Alton Hall

May 3, 1925 — November 10, 2016

ALTON COOLIDGE HALL, 91, of White Plains, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his residence.  He was born in Anniston to Emmett, Sr.  and Bessie Hall and was a self-employed farmer.   For years he owned and operated the White Plains Farm Center, attended White Plains High School,  and  was a member of Piedmont Church of Christ .  He was a volunteer supervisor for the Calhoun County SWCD  and member for 41 years serving as past chairman.  He also served on the RC and D Council for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents;  siblings: Olene Cash, Winifred Abrams, Ernest Hall, Ruby Murray, Lelus Hall and James Hall; and granddaughter:  Amber Thiede.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Alred Hall;  sons: Roger (Tori) Hall, Ronald “PeeWee” Hall, and Scott Ward; daughters:  Deborah (Brent) Parris and Darla (Brent) Cooper; brother: Emmett Junior Hall; sister: Juanita Whiteside;  11 grandchildren:  Zach (April) Hall, Shelley (Ray) Jeffers, Jesse (Jaime) Hall, Cassie Ward, Lane (Daniel) Chamblee, Andrew (Meghan) Morris,  Kaleb Morris, Rachel Morris, Hannah (Brett) Sessions, and Taylor Cooper; and 8 great grandchildren:  Grant Ward, Lily Chamblee, Grayson Sessions, Brittany Jeffers, Jordan Jeffers, Kailee Hall , Rylee Hall and Corwin Hall.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 13 at 2:00  PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 12-2 PM. Jimmy Kennedy will officiate.  Burial will follow in Rabbittown Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Calhoun County SWCD Supervisors: Kathy McCrimmon, Doug Trantham, Jimmy Cheatwood, and Bryan Hammonds.
