Barbara Studdard

Barbara Canter Studdard, 77, of Piedmont, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Sherry Donaldson officiating. Visitation will be from 12- 2 p.m.  and burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jessie McKnight, John Thacker, Matt Thacker, Butch Brown, Joshua Price and Justin Price.                                                                                                                                               The Piedmont native, born to John Duncan and Naomi Doyal Canter, was a member of Bethel Community Church and was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Gerald Franklin Studdard; son: Michael Gerald Studdard;  father; mother; and stepfather: Gene Davis; brother: Charles Canter; and sister Pat Davis.                                                                                                                                    She is survived by son: Charles Randall Studdard; daughters: Karen (Jeff) Jones and TaKira Ludy;  four sisters: Alice (Jim) Allen, Shelby Grimes, Betty Davis, and Kay (John) Thacker;   five grandchildren;  eleven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.                                                                                                Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Studdard Family.
