Barbara Traffansteadt

BARBARA ANN TRAFFANSTEADT, 82, of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Noland Hospital in Anniston.  The Piedmont native was one of five children born to Jack and Agnes McFry Goss. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: A.V. Traffansteadt; her four siblings: Clifford Goss, Clyde (Martha) Goss, Bobby (Diane) Goss, and Ruby (Howard) Shell; Son: Ricky (Kelly) Traffansteadt; and grandson: Wayne Traffansteadt.

She is survived by two sons: Scott (Kelly) Traffansteadt and Tony (Lori) Traffansteadt; three daughters:   Rhonda (Joe) Stansell, Starla (Danny) Headrick, and Pam (Sherman) Badgett; ten grandchildren: Shasta (Corey) Edwards, Daniela (Pat) Headrick, Nicholas (Candace) Traffansteadt, Tiffany (Dr. Nicholas) Rockwell, Zach (Bridgett) Badgett, LaDonna Headrick, Spencer Badgett, Dillon (Alana) Badgett, Brad (Haley) Traffansteadt, Breann Traffansteadt; and granddaughter in law: Renee Traffansteadt; and 21 great grandchildren.

She was the World’s Greatest Mother who spent her time loving her family and being a great homemaker.  She was a woman of humor who enjoyed life and travelling, if only to McDonald’s.  She was forever smiling and making others happy.  She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and had working at several sewing factories but ended her working days at Bill’s Dollar Store.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Bro. Benny Hamlin officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 PM Friday with burial in McFry Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nick Traffansteadt, Zach Badgett, Spencer Badgett, Brad Traffansteadt, Dillon Badgett, and Tristan Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.

In accordance with the State Mandate, social distancing and masks will be required.
