Services for MR. BILLY GEORGE “BILL” McCARLEY, 86, of Piedmont, will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 PM with Rev. Garry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery in Centre, AL.   He passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Cherokee County to Roy Moses and Ola Mae Robinson McCarley, Mr. McCarley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Glenda Sue Acker McCarley; daughter: Pamela Hill; infant granddaughter: Tara Hill; two sons in law: Jack Monahan and Donnie Hill; and siblings: Mack Allen McCarley, James McCarley, Diane McGatha and Joyce Midkiff.

He is survived by his daughter: Jana McCarley; grandchildren: Dustin, Craig and Jaylon (Lacey) Hill, Destini and Jack Monahan, and Caeden Ooten; great grandsons: Brentley, Aiden, and Jacksyn, brother: Douglas (Frances) McCarley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Nances Creek Baptist Church, was a cotton farmer and a private business owner.   He dearly loved his family, especially his grandkids, with whom he loved to joke.  He never met a stranger and was always cheerful. He was a man who was lost without the love of his life after her death in December 2021 and wanted to be reunited with her again.
