Carl Hunt

Carl Douglas Hunt, 77, of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at RMC Noland Hospital in Anniston. One of seven children born in Heflin to Arlin and Pelham Buttram Hunt, he was employed by Bostrom in the shipping department.  He was a talented woodworker and expert gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, Lucy Gilmer Hunt; and three brothers: Fain, Troy, and Terry Hunt.

Survivors include his daughter: Mary Beth Hunt; siblings: Dennis (Diane) Hunt, Norris Hunt, and Linda Hunt; several nephews and nieces; and many friends.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Phillip Smith officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hunt, Danny Hunt, Jared Spears, Clinton Hunt, Kevin Hunt and Ken Stockton.
