Daisy Young

DAISY MAE YOUNG, 79, of Piedmont, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  The Calhoun County native,  born to Plez and Eula Mae Hayes Studdard, was one of ten children.

She was a member of Piedmont Church of Christ, worked at Springs, and had cooked for Piggly Wiggly Deli and several restaurants. She married Sammy Ray Young and raised two children, Michael Ray Young and Pamela Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Sammy Ray Young; daughter, Pamela; grandson: Zachary Cleveland; four brothers:  Frank, Fred, Jack, and David Studdard; and two sisters:  Helen Smith and Ludie Studdard.

She is survived by her son: Michael Ray and wife, Tammy Young; sisters: Eleanor Renfroe, June Baine, and Martha (Tony) Garmon; grandchildren: Jacob Cleveland and Caleb (Tarris) Cleveland; and two great grandchildren:  Daniel Cleveland and Liam Cleveland.

Private Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Eddie Lindsey officiating.  Burial followed in Piedmont Memory Garden. Pallbearers were Michael Young, Caleb Cleveland, Jacob Cleveland, Dustin Baine, Terry Anderson, Greg Randall, and Tommy Carroll, Jr.
