Darlene Roland

DARLENE POLLARD ROLAND, 66, of Piedmont, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 4, 2022, at her residence.  Born in Rome, GA to Cecil and Ethel Mae Earwood Pollard, she was employed with Kroger Grocery in Rome until moving to Piedmont where she became employed with Piedmont Health Care Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Thomas Earl Roland, Sr.; and brother: Cecil “Buster” Pollard.  She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed all outdoor sports.  She dearly loved playing football, baseball, skating and wrestling. She was a great Mother and Grandmother and will be sorely missed.                                                                                                                                             She is survived by her son: Tommy Roland; daughter: Faye Roland; sister: Evelyn (Alton) Maddox; very special friends: Carolyn Owens, Jimmie Mims, Sammy Shumate and JoAnn Trotter; grandchildren: William Davis, Martha Davis, Jonas Roland, Joe Jones, Cheyenne Roland, Alexis Roland, and Brittany Nichole Welsh; and numerous nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                 Visitation will be Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2-4 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel.  As per her request, she will be cremated.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to a favorite charity.                                                                                                                                                                                              Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Roland Family.
