Debra Kay Goss

DEBRA KAY GOSS, 69, of Piedmont, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Piedmont Health Care Center.  Born in Gadsden, AL,  she was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Sarah Davis Newsome.

Mrs. Goss received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and History from Auburn University, and was in the Piedmont School System as the Librarian and History Teacher. She was the Sponsor of the Spanish Club and a devoted wife to Jerry David Goss for 44 years.

Survivors include her husband; son: Andrew Donald (Gina) Wheeler; son: Brian (Tonya) Goss; daughter: Tammie (Gregg) Howard; grandchildren: Davis Wheeler, Austin Goss, Mitchell (Erica) Howard and Kayla Howard; and great grandchildren: Maddie Howard and Caden Howard; brothers: Butch Teale and Bobby Teale; and sister: Donna Vance.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time.  Burial will follow in Piedmont Memory Garden. Rev. David Hodnett officiating. Pallbearers will be Davis Wheeler, Mitchell Howard, Austin Goss, Gregg Howard, Bobby Teale and Brody Teale.
