Dennis "Foots" Haney

Mr. Dennis Lamont "Foots" Haney, 68, of Piedmont,  passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
Born in Gadsden to William McKinley and Delphia Demurvle Warren Haney, he was  manager of the VFW and the American Legion.  He served in the US Marine Corp as a Corporal. He was a member of Dailey Street Baptist Church, the DAV and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers:  Billy Gene Haney and Jackie Allen Haney.
Survivors include his wife:  Brenda Maddox Haney; son: Stephen Edward Heitler; daughter: Helena Suzanne Burt; sister Janie Epps; sisters in law:  Dot Haney and Bobbie Haney; two grandchildren: Nikki Graves and Devin Graves;  great grandson: Bentley Neeley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Piedmont Memory Garden with Rev. Charles Israel officiating.  Visitation will be from 1-2 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel.
Flowers are accepted or memorials in his memory to Dailey Street Baptist Church.
Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Haney Family.
