Donald` McMahan, Sr.

DONALD NEVIN “Donnie” McMAHAN, Sr, 63, of Spring Garden passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Etowah Co., to Keeb Knox and Nettie Pearl Bryant McMahan.                                                                                                  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Henry David McMahan and twin brother: Ronald K. McMahan; sister: Carol Morris and husband, David Morris.  He was an active member of Arrington Chapel and loved building birdhouses.  He was a professional diesel mechanic.                                                                                                                                                 He is survived by his son: Donald Nevin McMahan, Jr.; daughter: Rebecca Ann Studdard; significant other of 22 years: Judy Pollard; brother: Glenn (Kay) McMahan; grandchildren: Andrew Spears and Nevin Lee McMahan; and one special great grandchild: Braxton.                                               Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM from Goshen Valley Cemetery with Rev. Sam Roe officiating. Pallbearers will be Andrew Spears, Edwin Dawson, Edward Moorer, Nevin McMahan, Glenn McMahan, Joseph Sims, and Kevin                             Sims.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials to a favorite charity.                                                                                                                            Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the McMahan Family.
