Dorothy Benefield

Dorothy Wiline Benefield, 76 of Piedmont, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at NE AL Regional Medical Center. Born in Acworth, Georgia, to William Franklin and Lena Tabitha McKenzie Ferrell, she was the manager of an apartment complex before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Thomas Benefield, Sr.; one son: Michael Carlton Benefield; daughter: Naomi Benefield; sisters: Elizabeth Etheridge, Frances Dickerson, and Margaret Ray; niece: Beulah; and grandchild: Brittany Hope.

She is survived by one son: Thomas Benefield, Jr.; 7 nephews; four grandchildren:  Rebecca, Thomas, Tommy, and Michael; and her dear friend, James Thomas Ballew.

Mrs. Dot was one that enjoyed being outside and watching people.  She was a friend to many and loved to hear about their families.

There will be no services for her.
