Farol Hackney

Farol Annice Hackney, 63, of Piedmont, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Anniston Regional Medical Center.                        Born in Cherokee  County to Fred and Iris Gowens Goss, she had lived in Piedmont  most of her life.  She was a member of                   Union Grove Methodist Church and former employee of Piedmont Health Care Center. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading.         She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jill.  She is survived by her husband, Edward Hackney of Piedmont;                      children: Meredith Hackney, Katie (Eddie) Burkhalter, John Hackney, James Hackney and Laura (Jeremy) Phillips, all of Piedmont;             10 grandchildren: Will and Nora Burkhalter, Olivia and Dylan Brewster, Aly Morris,  MacKenzie, Maggie and Macy Homesley,                  Owen and Cole McFry; sisters: Angela (Charles) Pope of Spring Garden and Teresa (Scott) Hicks of Ringo, GA; brothers: Phil (Vicki)     Goss  and Sidney Goss of Spring Garden; aunt and uncle: Gloria and Earl Kirkland of South Carolina; cousin: Edward Kirkland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request, she was cremated and there will be no services.
