HOLLIS FRED DOBBS, 79, of Piedmont, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 26, 2015 at NE AL Regional Medical Center. Born in Calhoun County to Lewis and Rosa Hulsey Dobbs, he served his country in the US Navy and was a security guard at Anniston Army Depot. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Katherine “Kathy” Dobbs; son: Dr. Kevin W. Dobbs and wife, Tahya; daughter: Alisa J. Hollis and husband, Dan; grandchildren: Camea, Carson, and Candylee Dobbs, Ryder and Oakley Hollis; brother: Troy (Nellie) Dobbs; sister: Imogene (Wayne) Collier; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. from Piedmont Memory Garden with visitation from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Dansby Heritage Chapel. Dr. Kevin W. Dobbs will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Hospital.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Dobbs Family.
