Ilean Cox

ILEAN GARRETT COX, 82, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014  at Noland Health Services.  Born in Calhoun County to Arberry Buchanan James and Opal Esther Fortenberry Garrett, she a member of the Baptist Faith and retired from Sewell Manufacturing.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Richard Edward Cox; and sisters: Helen Crook, Marie Tubbs, and Sharon Bozeman.                                                                                                  Survivors include her daughters: Janice (James) Trotter and Brenda (Dennis) Austin; sister: Imogene Garrett Burrows; grandchildren: Denecia (Brandon) Alvarado, Derek (Maggy) Austin, Cody Trotter, Ashley (Shane Both) Trotter; great grandchildren: Cheyenne Austin and Baylee Alvarado; and several nieces and nephews.                                                                        Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, at 2:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with burial in Piedmont Memory Garden.  Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.                                                                                                                                       She loved taking trips to the mountains and Braves Baseball.                                              Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Cox Family.
