James Law

JAMES STEPHEN “Steve” LAW,  66, of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Piedmont Health Care Center.  He is survived by his parents, J.E. and Mary Farmer Law; two sisters: Deborah (Terry) Conaway, Sheila (Norman) Cochran; one brother: Eric Law, all of Piedmont; niece Carly  (Tyler) Cronan of Piedmont;  and nephew: Jacob Conaway of Seattle, Washington.

He was a graduate of Piedmont High School and Jacksonville State University. He taught school at The Burwell Phychoeducational Center in Carrollton, GA in the 80s. He later went into the concrete construction business, which he retired from in 2016.  He enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching Auburn Football, hiking the Pinhoti Trail, and spending time on the creekbank.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Shadie Farmer, James Millard Law and Ruby Haney; and his beloved fur baby, Syd.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 26 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 1:00- 2:00 PM. Pastor Jerry Stewart will officiate.  Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Gardens.       In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite animal shelter or rescue, or favorite charity of your choice.

Because of Covid, those attending the service are asked to wear a mask.
