James Tisdale

July 24, 1941 — August 16, 2021

JAMES HAMPTON TISDALE, 80, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, August 16 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.  The Calhoun County native was born to James Edward and Cora Lee Turner Tisdale   and was a diesel mechanic.  On December 20, 1958, he married the love of his life, Margie Serre Couch, and had four children.                                                                                                                                                                                    He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter: Tammy Browning.                                                                                                               He is survived by his wife, Serre; son: James Ray Tisdale; daughter: Lisa (Jerry) Kimberly; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.                Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 1- 2 PM. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery.  Rev. William Cain will officiate and pallbearers will be Tyler Wood, Ethan Wood, Jerry Kimberly, Brandon Foote, Jacob Ford, and Kevin Browning.                                                                                                                                                                                                               The family requests no flowers, but memorial donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.                                                                      Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Tisdale Family.
