James Michael McCarley

JAMES MICHAEL McCARLEY, also known as SARGE,  62, of Centre, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Floyd Medical Center in Rome. Born in Germany, he was in the construction business and most recently in the stucco business.                                                                                                                    He is survived by his wife: Shelia T. McCarley; son: Craig McMurray (Brandi); daughters: Michelle Thacker (Jamie) and Katlyn McMurray; special daughters: Kyelyn and Kenzlyn; grandchildren: Gage and Ramie Thacker, Lacie, Lila, Braylie, and Carley McMurray; special friend: Dusty Little; brothers: Herb McCarley and Stan (Susan) McCarley; and sister: Laurie Snider.                                                                                                    Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 2-4 pm at Dansby Heritage Chapel. A service will follow at 4 pm with Rev. Michael Ingram officiating.  The family requests memorials to the kidney foundation or green plants only.                                                                                                                            The family would like to give special thanks to Floyd Medical Center (Covid Unit) for their kindness and exemplary care and compassion.            Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the McCarley Family.
