Jewel "Jay" Loyd
May 3, 1942 — January 23, 2018
JAY E. LOYD, 75, of Piedmont, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at Jacksonville RMC. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Julia Arnold Loyd; son: Joseph; and three brothers: Clyde, Paul David and Billy.
He is survived by his wife: Doris Loyd; sons: Scott, Jason, and Justin; and daughter: Lisa (Craig) Kelley; three sisters: Velma Waters, Julia Thrasher and Janice (Buster) Duke; grandchildren: Jared and Mathew Kelley, Scottie, Danielle, Joseph, and Hannah Loyd; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at 6:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Bobby Hooper officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5-6 PM. Burial will be Saturday, Jan. 27 in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Ellisville.
Mr. Loyd loved watching Alabama football, spending time with family, friends, and his dog, "Biddie".
