Rev. Joe Earl Lee ( Brother in law of Jerry Dansby ) of Malvern passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his family residence surrounded by his family. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Lee was born April 8, 1942 in Newton, AL to the late Clarence and Juanita Quattlebaum Lee. He was a retired Pentecostal minister. He was also retired from the United States Army and had worked for a number of years as a security guard.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years; Mary Dansby Lee, Malvern; two daughters: Becky Blackburn and Wanda Jo Lee both of Malvern; grandchildren: Wendy Boutwell (Wayne), Dustin Lee (Jessica) and Shelby Blackburn (Jordan); great-grandchildren: Alexa Jade Boutwell, Marigrace Boutwell, Charlianna Boutwell, DJ Lee, Lyndsey Lee, and Taylor Lee; and other extended family and friends.
