Linda Jean (Bowman) Tubb (11/15/1950 to 03/08/2022)
Linda Jean (Bowman) Tubb, age 71,of Piedmont, AL passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Gadsden Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born in Compton, California to G. J. “Jack” Bowman and Vera Jane Smith (Bowman) Howell. Both preceded her in death. She retired as a Financial Plan Administrator for CNA Insurance. She was born and raised in Southern California. In 2018 Linda and her husband of 29 years, Hal Tubb moved to Centre, AL so that she could spend time with her mother, sister, Angie and other family members. She was proud to be a member of The Seventh Day Baptist Church of Riverside, CA, where she and Hal found joy in being part of an extended family made up of loving Christians committed to the word of God and lead by their friend, Pastor Gabriel Bejjani. Ever faithful to her family and friends, many lifelong, she held a special place in her heart for all children, young and old. As her husband, when we first met, I knew that this woman had a special attraction that would lead any child to her. They just somehow knew that she cared, especially if they were hurting or lost. She was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Howell; two nephews, Mark Boswell and Brandon Begue; and two great nieces, Rebekah Boswell and Bailee Ooten. She is survived by: Husband: Hal Tubb and brother-in-Law: Martin Tubb, Avery, CA; Two daughters: Laura (Joe) Phillips, Clyde, TX; Christina (Gene) Chesterton, Riverside, CA; Five sisters: Angie (Jeff) Hulsey, Piedmont, AL; Beverly (Howell-Begue) Beam, Graniteville, SC; Gloria (Denny) Reid, Prescott, AZ; Cindy Bowman, Prescott, AZ and daughter Jessi Kellerman Phoenix, AZ ; Dianna (David) Demarco, Hemet, CA; Two brothers: Carroll Teague, Dallas, NC; Robert Howell (Beth) Spring Garden, AL; Five grandsons (You were the world to her): Bayley Chesterton, Mesa, AZ; Bradley Chesterton, Riverside, CA; Azaryah Phillips; Darashyah Phillips, Tachasyah Phillips, all of Clyde, TX; One granddaughter, in spirt: Ashley Bevan, Corona, CA From the many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, friends of her daughters, her school friends, camping buddies and yes, to even strangers that ever came into contact with Linda - if you were fortunate enough to spend time with her in play, reading, cooking together, on the phone or just sitting and talking you knew that she genuinely loved you! I know because I was privileged to have almost thirty years with my lovely bride. What I will miss most is how loved she made me feel just by being in her presence.
