LOUISE CAIN SIMPSON, 93, a lifelong resident of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Piedmont Health Care Center. She was a member of Piedmont Church of God most of her life and worked as a seamstress in the Piedmont area. She loved God and her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. from Highland Cemetery with Rev. David Cox officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Hilburn, Bryan Masters, Kenny Kelley, Rick Stokes, Freddie Cain, and Ben Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Simpson; infant son: Jerry Wayne Simpson, daughter: Helen Houck; son: Larry Simpson; parents: Argie and Joe Cain; brothers: Fred Cain and Joe Cain; and her Uncle John and Aunt Celia Kiser. Survivors include her ‘beloved and cherished’ daughter, as her mother affectionately called her: Deborah Pierce and husband Ben; grandchildren: Brooke (Max) Mullinix, Mark Chandler, Emily Pierce; great grandchildren: Ally and Austin Mullinix; and one brother: William Cain. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Hannah, her doctor for many years, Encompass Hospice, Dr. Ulrich, and the kind and compassionate staff of the Piedmont Health Care Center. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Simpson Family.
