Mariola Morgan Fields, was born 15 April 1924 and passed away on 26 June 2018 at Piedmont Health Care. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Piedmont. "Magie" loved her family and leaves a legacy as a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buren E. Fields; son John E. Fields (Deloris); father, John F. Morgan; mother, Jesse Belle O'Bryant Morgan; and brother Harman Cooper (Isabelle). Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family including brother Bobby J. Morgan (Betty); nephews Jeff Morgan (Joy) and Joel Morgan, all of Warner Robins GA; granddaughter Shannon Thomas of Dothan; daughter-in-law Deloris Fields; nieces and nephews; and friends Amanda Gowens and Teri Haney. Magie loved working in her yard, crocheting, and traveling with her family in their camper. She traveled to many locations including Yellowstone National Park, and particularly liked the mountains and seashore including Gulf Shores AL and South Padre Island TX. She was of the Baptist faith and her favorite color was purple. She loved listening to gospel music, especially the Gaithers. Many of her friends preceded her in death, but she made many new and dear friends at Dugger Mountain Assisted Living and Piedmont Health Care. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Piedmont Memory Garden. Rev. Michael Ingram will officiate with music by Teri Haney. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Fields family.
