SANFORD, MARTHA  ANNA, 82  of Piedmont, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Piedmont Health Care Center.  Born in Cherokee Co. to John Burnett and Mattie Eunice Blair Sanford, she was  a member of Piedmont First United Methodist Church and retired from Watson Drug Store.  She was  a graduate of Piedmont High School and Gadsden Business College, a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron, and a talented seamstress.                     She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eunice Sanford.                                        She is survived by two brothers and sisters in law:   Bud (Myra) Sanford and Robert (Sue) Sanford; two aunts:   Nell Blair and Elizabeth Blair; niece: Lisa; and nephews: Greg, Phil, Bryan and Matthew.                                                                                                                         Memorial Services will be Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11: 00 a.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 10- 11 a.m.  Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in Piedmont Memory Garden.    The Rev. Peter Hawker will officiate.                                                                                             The family requests no flowers but memorials to The Order of the Eastern Star C/O Lozahatchee Lodge # 97 F & AM, PO Box 447, Piedmont, AL 36272 or Piedmont Rescue Squad, PO Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272.                                                                                                               Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Sanford Family.
