Mary Jeanette Shell

Mrs. Mary Jeanette Shell, 86, of Piedmont, gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family that dearly loved her.  She was born in Bartow Co., GA on Sept. 8, 1928 to Sherman and Irene Lyle Badgett, but lived most of her life in Piedmont, AL She was retired from  SCT and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlan Shell, Sr.; children: Freddy, Michael, and Shirley; brothers: Johnny, Junior and LeGrant; and sisters: Jerry Sue and Lorene.
Survivors include her sons:  Roger and Junior;  10 grandchildren: Tracey Shell, Annette Moore (Jason), Tonya Shell, Chris Shell (Misty), Tina Gilmore (Tim), Jay Shell (Melissa), Shane Shell,  Christy Mobbs (Matt),  Lacresa Gossett (Larry) and Anthony Cross; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great,  great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 6 at Dansby Heritage Chapel from 5-7 PM with the service to follow at 7:00 PM.  Rev. Jerry Stewart will officiate. Burial will be Friday, August 7 in Highland Cemetery at 9:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be her great grandsons: Chipper Shell, Dylan Kirk, Lane Shell, Michael Shell, Austin Shell, Jaxson Shell, Devin Mobbs, and Cameron Gossett.
