Michael Matthews

Michael Boyd Matthews, 54, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his Piedmont residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Centre, AL  on Saturday, December 31, 1960 to Frank Thomas and Hazel Singleton Matthews.  He served his country in the US Navy. By trade, he was a plasterer in the construction business.
He  is survived by his wife:  Cindy McFry Matthews; 2 sons:  Michael Anthony Matthews and Zach Matthews; daughter: Mysti Matthews; brothers: Danny Matthews and Thomas Matthews; sister:  Martha Jo Centell; and 3 grandchildren:  Lukas Bradley, Kenzleigh and Paisleigh Matthews.
As per his request, he will be cremated.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Piedmont Congregational Holiness
Church (Hughes St.) in Piedmont.
