Michelle Raney

Funeral Service for Mrs. Michelle Lee Raney, 44, of Piedmont, will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m.      Rev. Ashley Penton will officiate and burial will be in Carmel Cemetery. Mrs. Raney passed away on Saturday, October 17 at UAB Hospital in     Birmingham. Pallbearers will be Dalton Dodd, Dawson Dodd, Dakota Dodd, Tyler Dotson, Camden Ferguson, Levi Ferguson, and Blade Ferguson.

Born in Rome, GA, she was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister.  In spite of her many health issues, she took care of her family. She was an avid sports person and enjoyed all the games as she sat and listened to Marty give a play by play account.  In the past, she worked at the cotton mill.

She is survived by her husband: Marty Raney; children: Patrick T. Raney,  Amber M. Raney, and Steven M. Raney; mother: Bonnie Hooper; and sisters: Audra Fuller, who preceded her in death, Nada Ferguson, and Shannon Hollis.
