REV. JOSEPH MYRON TOLBERT, 64, of Anniston, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham after a brief illness.  He was born in Talladega, AL to J T and Willie Mae Pruitt Tolbert, who have both preceded him in death.                                                                                                        Rev. Joe was the pastor of Hillcrest Independent Missionary Church of Heflin until his illness prevented his pastoral care. He was an accomplished musician, playing nine different instruments, was involved in cabinetry, and most of all, a loving and devoted husband. He was one that was always there for others whenever there was a need.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               He is survived by his wife, Tina Holt Tolbert; his fur babies: Moose and Yaris; and two brothers: Rev. Stephen R. Tolbert and wife, Jo Anne; and Michael G. Tolbert.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Stephen Tolbert and Rev. David Vaugh officiating. Musicians will be Robbie Smith and David Vaugh. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mike Philips, Robbie Smith, Susie Wood, Jessie Watts, and Spencer Watts.                                                                                                 Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Tolbert Family.
