Robert E. "Bert" Martin

ROBERT ERNEST “BERT” MARTIN, 36, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He was born on Sunday, April 12, 1987 in Anniston, AL to Alta Jean Martin Studdard. He attended Spring Garden High School and was on the football team.  Bert was one who loved football, horses, wrestling, swimming, and hunting.  He was an Alabama football fanatic, enjoyed traveling with his work and coaching his son. He had a deep love for family and tried to help everyone he could.                                                                                                                                                                                               He was preceded in death by his mother: Alta Martin Studdard; grandparents: Eloise Bramlett, Donna Fay Martin, James Elbert Martin and Alta Faye Stephens.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                He is survived by his wife: Christy Bramlett Martin; son: Cooper James Martin; stepson: Bentley Jace Woodard; special friend: April Holloway; uncle/brother: Nathaniel Lee “Jamie” Martin (Lindsay Leigh Baucom-Martin) and their children, Skylar Lee and Champion Grace Leigh Martin; sisters: Amber Murphy, Tara Leighanne Lieberman, Ashley Martin; grandfather: Gaines Bramlett; brothers and sisters in law: Anthony Daversa III, Christina (Robert) Ford, Tia (Matt) Stambaugh, Zac (Seliena) Simmons; other brothers and sisters; In laws: Rickey E. Bramlett, Joyce Bramlett, Brenda Shell and Gary Gidley; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.                                                                                             Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Brent Poole officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to Dansby Heritage Chapel for funeral expenses.                                                                             Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Martin Family.
