Mr. Robert Benny “Bob” Tolbert, 77, of Rainbow City, AL, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Piedmont, AL to Clarence William and Mildred Lola Sloan Tolbert. He proudly served two years in the US Army, was active in Meadowbrook Church of Gadsden and was employed with Republic Steel until retirement. He was a member of the Retired Steel Workers Group. Although he had several medical issues, it didn’t slow him down. He never met a stranger and would go out of his way to make you feel special. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: two infants and Michael David Tolbert; and sister: Doris Ann Burns. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Belinda Jo Stewart Tolbert; son: Cory Stuart (Nicole) Tolbert of Arizona; daughter: Amanda Tolbert (Craig) Price of Kentucky; brother: William Edsel Tolbert; sisters: Peggy Joan Kline and Vickie Gail Tolbert; and grandchildren: Caitlin Savannah Tolbert and Alexander Tolbert Price. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 3 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with a visitation from 2- 3 PM. Rev. Randy Gunter will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Meadowbrook Church Building Fund, 2525 Rainbow Dr., Gadsden, AL 35901 Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Tolbert Family.
