Rosa Sweatt

Rosa Lee Slayton Sweatt, 61, of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020.  She was born in Gadsden to Milburn and Almie Buttram Slayton and had previously worked in Piedmont Cotton Mill.                                                                                                                                                  She was preceded in death by her father when she was ten years old.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Junior Slayton, and sister, Diane Slayton.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 She is survived by her mother:  Almie Buttram Slayton; son and daughter in law: Joseph and Tonya Laney of Centre; brothers: Rodney and Mitchell Slayton and Benjamin Motes; sisters: Dimple Kanipe and Frankie English; 4 grandchildren:  Brittany (Logan) Gilham, Dakota Laney, Joseph Laney, and Brooke (Austin) Hightower; and great grandson: Grayson Gilham.                                                                                                                                       Memorial Services will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 7:00 PM with visitation from  6-7 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel.                                     Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Sweatt Family.
