SUE BROWN, 54, of Jacksonville, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at NE Regional Medical Center. Sue was born in Piedmont, Calhoun Co., AL , one of four daughters, to George E. and Frances Davis Brown.
She was a member of Nances Creek Baptist Church and was employed with JSU in the environmental service department where she made many friends. Her ability to make you feel relaxed and comfortable was phenomenal and became a confidant to several. She loved to read, garden, grow African Violets and Air Plants, watch movies, and relive family history and sharing memories through her collection of family pictures. She was a history buff in general: she could tell you anything you wanted to know and should have been a contestant on Jeopardy. She amazed her family with her knowledge of Krakatoa. The thing she enjoyed most in life was being a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews: spoiling them and sending them home to their parents.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ann Davis; niece: Miranda Davis Woodard; and nephew: Jordan Hunter.
Survivors include her sisters: Pat (Sam) Johnson and Katie (Bill) Sheppard; nieces and nephews: Steve (Robin) Johnson and daughter, Della; Kristy (Jake) Andrews and children, Rowdy and Cooper; Melissa Davis; Miranda’s children: Levi, Kalven and Chelby; Jordan‘s children: Kingston, Lori and Lucy; Daniel (Ashley) Sheppard and children, Luke and Liam; and Hannah (Brady) Grasser and son, Kane.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 17 from 1-2 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel with a Celebration of Sue’s Life at 2:00 PM with Rev. Garry Brown officiating.
Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Brown Family.
