Thomas Harrelson

THOMAS EDWARD HARRELSON, 81, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born to Steve Thomas and Myrtle Cornelius Adair Harrelson in  Jacksonville, AL, he worked as a tree surgeon for many years.                                          Red, as he was affectionately known, was preceded in death by his parents: S.T. and Myrtle Harrelson; and four brothers:  Bob, James, Steve, and John Henry Harrelson.                                                                                                                                                                                                      Left to treasure his memories are his loving wife: Jettie Lipscomb Harrelson; daughter: Frances (Terry) Howell; sons: Eddie Michael (Freda) Stewart, Tracey Harrelson, Thomas (Sonya) Harrelson; special nephew: Tim Easterling; sisters: Carol Coogler and Wanda (Ray) Livingston; grandchildren: Brandy Stewart, Cody (Hannah) Perry, Katie (Hunter) Pritchett, Cade (Dianah) Harrelson, Cheyenne (Dalton) Coogler, Korey (Austin Claire ) Haney, and Sherie (Zac) Robertson; and great grandchildren:  Nicole and Dakota Stewart, Levi Baldwin, Paislee, Kase and Harper Coogler, Henry Harrelson, Heidi Perry, Trevor and Dakota Robertson, Asher and Rawlin Haney; and several nieces and nephews.                                                               Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Chaplain Dale Hollingsworth officiating and burial to follow in Post Oak Cemetery (2427 Post Oak Road, Jacksonville, AL 36265).  Visitation will be Sunday, December 26 from 6-8 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Flowers will be accepted.
