Thomas “Speedy” Wayne Maddox Sr, 63, of Piedmont, AL passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Dansby Heritage Chapel with funeral on Tuesday, August 27 at 2 pm with Tommy Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be at Monger Cemetery in Jacksonville AL
Thomas is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathy Maddox; his son: Thomas "TJ' Maddox: daughter: Amanda (Jon) White; 2 grandsons: Thomas and Daniel White; mom: Annette Beal; step mom: Linda Deberry; sister: Darlene Marshall; brothers: Donnie Maddox, Keith Maddox, Clayton (Stacy) Maddox, James (Stephanie) Smith, Tiny (Michelle) Smith, Curtis (Linda) Harris, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son: Robert Tyler Maddox; father: Lawrence Maddox; and brother: Jackie “ Tat" Maddox.
Pallbearers will be David Lockridge, Dale Lockridge, Brandon Lockridge, Earl Martin, Austin Martin, and Clay Vaughn Hollingsworth.
Thomas worked for L and L Cabinets as a master painter for most of his life. He also sang with the Peacemakers and played lead guitar with The Gospel Aires of Piedmont,AL. He was an amazing husband and father and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Maddox Family.
