Vera Minton

Vera LOUISE Minton, 95, of Piedmont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. Born in Calhoun County, she was an administrative assistant and retired from Lawtex/Springs.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           She was preceded in death by her parents: J.W. and Cassie Jane Gardner Morrow; her husband: Albert Harold Minton; son: Don Minton; and several siblings. She was a member of the Eastern Star, an active member of Carmel Community Church, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a very loving and caring woman with a big heart.                                     She is survived by her son: David and his wife, LeAnne, Minton, of Glencoe; grandchildren: Kim Ramey, Jason Minton, and Laura Minton; great grandchild: Regan Nabors; and a very special niece: Carla Jo.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Visitation will be Saturday, July 23 from 6-8 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel with a graveside service on Sunday, July 24 at 2:00 PM from Highland Cemetery with Rev. Neale Lanigan officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jason Minton, Donnie Minton, Rodney Minton, Kenny Minton, Jeff Formby, Dustin Formby, Jeff Hanvey, and Boyd Reece.                                                                                                                                                    Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Minton Family.
