VERA JO McABEE MYERS passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Piedmont HealthCare Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harland and Ruth Wilson McAbee. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charlie Myers of Piedmont, and daughter, Brooke A. Myers of Auburn. She served as a teacher, media center instructor, and administrator for 35 years. She also served as pianist at Piedmont Presbyterian Church for over 30 years and Sunday School teacher.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Piedmont First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in her memory to the Piedmont Educational Trust Fund, 502 Hood Street West, Piedmont, AL 36272 or The Piedmont First Presbyterian Church, 107 Ladiga Street, Piedmont, AL 36272.
The family wishes to give warm thanks to those who cared for Vera .
