Wanda Lee McFry

Funeral Services for Ms Wanda Lee McFry, 65, of Piedmont, will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 2-3 pm. Rev. Bob Staggs will officiate and burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.    Pallbearers will be Randall Whorton, Dallas Whorton, Joseph McCurdy, Lee Young, Scotty Grimes, and Darrin Whorton                                                                                                                                                                  Ms McFry was born in Piedmont, AL to Horace McFry and Ella Mae Whorton McFry, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Jeff McFry and Perry McFry.                                                                                                                                                                                                             She had worked in the textile industry. She was one who loved life, classic rock music, and enjoyed being around people.  Her passion was flowers and family.  She attended Philadelphia Baptist Church.                                                                                                                                                                                                             She is survived by her aunt, Glenda Rhinehart; uncles, Jack (Geraldine) Whorton and Dwight  (Rita) McFry; chosen sister: Anita Shannon; special cousins who were like siblings;  and many good friends.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the McFry Family.
