Wenford Dean Humphrey

WENFORD DEAN HUMPHREY, 69, passed on to his beautiful forever home at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden on December 31, 2024. Born in Chicago, IL to Ardis Norman Humphrey and Edna Faye Humphrey, he graduated from Jacksonville State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting. He served in the US Air Force and was retired from the IRS in Colorado as an accountant.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ardis Norman Humphrey and Edna Faye Humphrey, and brother Kenneth Arnold Humphrey. Dean had an amazing mind and was masterful with numbers. He was a devoted caregiver for his mother. Even though he had a great personality, he trusted few people and therefore he was a loner at heart. 

He is survived by his niece, Sherri (Kevin) Dunn; nephews: Gary Humphrey and Kenny Humphrey; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

The service will be a graveside service at Piedmont Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2025.
