William Patrick "PAT" Wilemon

Mr. William Patrick Wilemon, 76, of Piedmont, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 9, 2024 at his nephew’ s residence after a stay in the hospital. Born in Gadsden, AL to Virgil J. and Evelyn Walls Wilemon, he was one of two children.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Palma Lou Johnson Wilemon; two daughters: Karen Sue Wilemon and Sherry Wilemon; sister: Gloria Thompson; niece: Dawn Law and nephew: Jeremy McCurdy. A graduate of Gadsden State, he was a mechanic at the Anniston Depot for 22 years and served in the US Navy for 23 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed his spare time tinkering with old cars and trucks, and shooting guns. He enjoyed time with his special friends, Sophie and Calico.

He is survived by his wife: Gleatha Diane McCoy Wilemon; son: Chris Wilemon, grandson: Josh (Heather) Aaron; special nephew: Mike Thompson; nephew: John McCurdy; niece Katilyn McCurdy; and other nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Monday, August 12 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel.
